The Unfixed Body
This ongoing project looks at the body not as a fixed form, but as an image in motion.
Seen through glass, the body breaks into fragments. It overlaps, softens, disappears in part, and appears again. Its outline quietly wavers between what is present and what is slipping away.
We often ask the body—our own and others’—to become an ideal image, something complete, beautiful, and coherent. But in truth, the body and the self are far more unstable, layered, and changeable. I find beauty in that uncertainty.
By photographing different people through the same light, the same frame, and the same sheet of glass, I try to observe what cannot be fixed: the subtle presence, tension, and individuality that emerge when the body begins to lose its clear shape.
